| I was just cruising the internet before I go to work. I went to the SIG website and saw their new pistol, the p250. The concept is really interesting. Maybe it's just me but I see some potential in this. Your thoughts? |

| If I understand what they are saying the pistol is modular in it's design and concept. The closest thing I can liken it to in the realm of guns is the AR-15. They will be offering sub-compact, compact, and large grips(lower) in a polymer. The upper can be attached to any one of the size grips(lowers). They also offer two trigger options which can be switched by the owner of the pistol. The barrels for the various calibers can also be swapped out. These are the reasons I found the P-250 interesting. Full details about the pistol can be found at the sigarms website. I look forward to seeing and handling one. The suggested retail will be $699 from what I understand. Sorry I didn't provide details yesterday, was in a hurry. |

I have purchased a p250 in the compact 9mm configuration. I have put a couple thousand rounds through it and I like it very much. The exchanges that Sig has promised are slow in coming and are at this point expensive. I would hold off if the modular idea is the only reason for this weapon. Changes are coming faster than the comsumer can keep up. They have changed the grips so mags of the same caliber are not interchangeable with old styles. My advice(to be taken with a grain of salt) is to hold off on this weapon system. and let Sig work out the bugs. _________________ "blah blah blah" said the chairborne ranger |

Welcome to the chat,., great first post too
I wish companies that come up with ideas like Sig did here would back up their ideas with plenty of product.
Since their concept was to be modular, not selling the modular pieces really is lame and counter productive.
It was a pistol made for our regulation system, they could have been quite popular if they would have sent out so many replacement parts that people started to modify, paint and customize their pistols
Want it green and tactical today, but tan and range worthy in a few minutes?
I only shot it once to test and wasn't a fan of the trigger.. how do you like it, can it be worked on or swapped? _________________ Those who adapt control the future

The trigger on this particular sidearm is different. It takes some getting used to, when I first took it to the range I had trouble hitting the broad side of a barn (standing inside the damn thing). With practice and continual use I have worked it out for my self. Have not heard of anything in replacement or smithing. sorry. _________________ "blah blah blah" said the chairborne ranger |
