I think I might buy a Romanian AK when I get one, gotta support my ancestry.

My ancestors came from Romania, and legend has it they were friends with Vlad the Impaler. Shocked

Note: Andrew sells these for Ewbank (and others) he's not a builder ..yet

Thanks for the close up pics, I would like to use them too woud that be OK?

Looks like the folder still works with the front grip thats good to know.
Can you still open the vert grip while it's closed? For shooting while folded?

I like that shot in the case thats like it's made for a folding AK
(I assume it's a 3 or 4 pistol case?)

I put a vert grip on my AR with a bi-pod, it works great as a combo for me how do you like it?

That two tone bipod looks like it's made for that AK

One edit, the close up you took of the 'rivets' are really the center support (rivet) and the two pins (not rivets) for the hammer and trigger
There is a rear trunion rivet at the top right
Not to nit-pick just for clarity

well then large props to ewbanks for the great build and thanks to andrew for the great deal...

you are welcome to use my pics and i have more to share if you want.

havent tried the to shoot with with front vert open and folder down, but folder closes to within 1/2 inch with open , could use a deburr tool and trim just a small amount from folder and it would close completely with front vert open

case i found at gander mountain, got no idea what it was intended for , but works great for my folder

i really like the set up i have, but i cant compare to your ar 15 cause unfortunately i dont have class three and the way we shoot is differently because of that (yeah im jealous)

thanks for the correction about the hammer and trigger pins , show how much i dont know but i was just trying to show the quality of the build

All my ARs are semi-auto
The videos were other peoples guns if thats what you are remembering

I saw a chick shooting an AR at the range with a bipod and a vert grip and my first reaction was to laugh, then one day (in the privacy of my bat cave) I tried the combo.. it felt good.. so I tested it at the range, and it shot well and felt better than with no vert grip..

So now if people laugh I just shrug it off cause I can understand their opinion (and I know they prob never tried it)

to be a bit more illustrative with my answer about the folder closed and vert grip open

i hope this shows the folder and vert relationship and the slight ammount needed to shave from inside of folder to get it to close all the way, i dont think i'll do that though because it closes almost all the way now and doesnt interfere with grip so ill leave it
